Heavy Highway

complex transportation And Civil projects for Public & Private Sectors

Morgan Corp. specializes in complex transportation and civil construction projects with interchanges, roadway and drainage construction, bridges, and utility coordination for both the public and private sectors.

Our Process

In addition to the traditional design-bid-build project delivery method, Morgan Corp. is experienced in the fast-tracked design-build project delivery method. The design-build process allows contractors to be innovative and creative, and reduces both the time and cost required to complete a heavy highway project.

Of Note

Morgan Corp. has the resources and the ability to complete any size heavy highway project. One project of note, the J. Verne Smith Parkway in Spartanburg County, is a 5-mile, four-lane concrete-paved divided parkway with several bridges and box culverts. The project had over 2 million cubic yards of excavation, including 700,000 cubic yards of rock requiring drilling and blasting. We are also proud to have been awarded the maximum incentive offered by the SCDOT for the early completion of the first phase of the I-585 improvement project to reconstruct access to the growing campus of USC-Upstate.

Successful Completion

Successful completion of a heavy highway project requires tireless planning and coordination of not only our own crews’ work activities, but the overall management of the many specialty subcontractors often required to complete these complex heavy highway projects. Whether as a prime contractor or as a specialty subcontractor for grading, drainage work, water, sanitary sewer, soil stabilization, cement-treated graded aggregate bases, and Roller-Compacted Concrete paving, the professionals at Morgan Corp. have the ability to complete highway or civil projects on time and on budget.
